American best performances: BRUNO MARS Still Remains the No1 Of All Super Bowl Halftime Performers

BRUNO MARS Still Remains My No 1 Of All Super Bowl Halftime Performers! [My Top 10]

This show/football event/entertainment concert is purely American, but I can tell you it is watched all over the World including NIGERIA! I have been privileged to watch quite a couple of the half-time performances and those I didn’t watch, thanks to Youtube, I could figure out what went down and who did what.
The finesse at which this yearly event is carried out seems to get me marveled, i mean, from the selection of the artist, to the stage and lights, the reception from the crowd, you will definitely be blown away. And then the performance itself, little wonder the show has come to stay.

The Super Bowl is the annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional football in the United States, culminating a season that begins in the late summer of the previous calendar year. Super Bowl I was played on January 15, 1967, following 1966 regular season.
The most recent game, Super Bowl XLIX, which was won by the New England Patriots, was played on February 1, 2015, following the 2014 season.
While halftime shows are a tradition during football games at all levels of competition, the Super Bowl halftime show represents a fundamental link to pop culture, which helps broaden the television audience and nationwide interest.
In most years since the early 1990s, the halftime show of the Super Bowl has featured popular recording artists and other well-known celebrities, most notably after the 1993 performance by Michael Jackson. It has measurably increased television viewers during and after the halftime show. The performance is regarded one of the most-watched events in American television annually with over 100 million viewers in the United States alone.
Musical genres over the years have represented a broad range of music types, including pop, rock, classic rock, country, hip-hop, rap, blues, and soul. In some years, short skits or drama scenes are acted out on a stage. The performance group Up with People has performed at the most Super Bowl halftime shows, starring in four during the 1970s and 1980s.
According to Nielsen ratings, the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show headlined by Bruno Mars in 2014 is now the most-watched halftime show in history, with 115.3 million viewers, surpassing Madonna’s 114 million in 2012. It is listed on the Guinness World Records as the largest TV audience for a Super Bowl half-time performance.
Below is my Top 10 Super Bowl halftime performances up until 2014! Not like Katy Perry would have  made the list anyways even if 2015 is included.
